By adding a smooth, level gliding action to the proven Wood Duck Chair frame, I created a seat where you can relax for hours without effort or strain. The seat height is thoughtfully set so getting up is easy, and the flexible slats provide lasting support and comfort with no cushion needed.

I personally build every Mallard Glider using traditional mortise and tenon joinery and precise, counter-sunk stainless steel fasteners. You’ll notice the same clean lines and attention to detail found in all my furniture. Each glider is assembled for perfect balance and effortless glide—no shortcuts, just craftsmanship you can feel.

Every glider comes with carefully integrated features, from a built-in cup holder and wine glass holder beneath each armrest (included at no extra charge), to a choice of "Duck Head" or "Classic" back design. The front edge of the seat is softened for comfort, and protective DUX feet keep your chair steady anywhere you place it. The glider arms are cut from solid marine-grade stainless steel and use sealed bearings for a truly maintenance-free, smooth motion year after year.

Like all DUX furniture, the glider is crafted from marine-grade Starboard HDPE, trusted by yacht builders for its unmatched durability outdoors. Starboard is known for resisting fading, cracking, and heat build-up, so your glider keeps looking and feeling great in any weather. You’ll never need to refinish it—just rinse and enjoy.
