Why “DUX”?

The word DUX is Latin for Leader. It's an appropriate name for what we feel is the industry's most comfortable poly furniture. We only use the highest quality marine grade material, solid, dense Starboard HDPE. You might say that's big talk for a small company. We think it's accurate. Let us prove that our name represents how we're leading the way with better comfort, higher quality and creative original designs.

On the lighter side, it’s a fun coincidence that the word DUX also sounds like the name of some very unusual birds. Ducks are unique and love the outdoors, just like our furniture. We liked the similarity. So we use fun duck features to make the point. Our furniture isn't like the rest of the relatively un-inspired poly furniture industry. We embrace being different. In fact, you'll find lots of unique features not found on any of the other poly furniture manufacturers' products. And not just cute duck features, we designed many intuitive features into our furniture so it is far more user friendly. We believe that furniture is personal. Mass produced furniture isn’t personal. Your furniture should express who you are and contribute to your outdoor experience. It shouldn’t just look nice, it should be enjoyable, comfortable. Many choose mass produced furniture just because that’s what everyone has. Make a break from normal, boring furniture that everyone has. Be different, be comfortable. Are you a leader or a follower?
