Rocking chairs are traditional icons of relaxation. They have been with us for generations. I designed these when I found that most modern rocking chairs have ceased to be comfortable, and therefore not really useable. It seems that they have become more of a porch ornament than something we actually use. And it makes sense since no one can sit in them for more than a couple minutes before starting to fidget from the discomfort. Try my rocking chairs and you will remember why rocking chairs were icons in the first place. Comfort, style, outdoor durability and great lumbar support are designed into these NEW icons. I tested them with hundreds of people to get them just right. I even designed two sizes because "one size fits all" just doesn't work. Now, everyone can find true comfort in a rocking chair made to fit them! This one is the larger of the two and comes in two styles, Duck Head and Duck Tail. Both the Duck Head and Duck Tail styles are identical other than the design of the top of the back supports. If you like ducks (like us), choose the Duck Head, or if you prefer, choose the more classic design of the Duck Tail. This larger version of the DreamRocker fits individuals between 5’-6” and 6’-6" tall. As for the name of the rocker, it comes from the location where it was designed. My wife and I bought an old dairy barn several years back. We completely renovated it and now call it our home. In the process, we decided to make a couple airbnb spaces, including one in the top two stories of our silo! We named our home Dream Rock Silo (see Our Story). So when I finally finished designing this rocking chair that was tested by our guests, it seemed too perfect not to call it the Dream Rocker. I think you will find it worthy of the name.
Heads or Tails? Either one you choose, you win. These come in two styles; Duck Heads or Duck Tails. They are exactly the same except for the design of the top of the back supports. If you like ducks (like us), choose the iconic Duck Head design for some fun. Or if you prefer, choose the more classic design of the Duck Tail. Either way, you will have a very durable and comfortable chair that will last for many, many years.
Old world craftsmanship. All of our furniture is made using old world craftsmanship and traditional woodworking techniques. Since the designer is also a second generation cabinet maker, he knows how to build quality. Here are some examples. Our furniture has mortise and tenon joinery for better structural stability. It has color coordinated stainless steel screws on the exterior, pre-drilled and countersunk flush to the surface, for a more professional finished appearance. We also use a unique T-slot groove to attach the armrests, making it more secure and easier to install.
NO maintenance required! Made with the highest quality marine grade High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE) from King Plastics, called Starboard. This is not recycled from used plastic bottles but rather a pure virgin polyethylene made with UV inhibitors to reduce fading and heat build-up. It stays cooler than outdoor furniture made with recycled plastic bottle content. It never cracks and never needs re-finishing. It is the same color throughout with solid smooth edges. It is durable through all seasons. It will last a lifetime and will likely be able to be enjoyed by the next generation of your family.
NO Rust! We use stainless steel fasteners.
No cushion needed! These rocking chairs are made with flexible, yet strong, back and seat slats. They conform to your shape and are more comfortable than typical outdoor poly furniture made with stiff unforgiving slats.
DUCKS don’t bite! We designed a leg protector for the front edge of the seat slats so the sharp edges of slats won't bite into the back of your leg. Don't worry about wearing shorts this summer, you’ll be comfortable relaxing in this furniture.
Rocker Rails! Look for the signature orange stripe on the bottom of our rocking chairs. This is the replaceable "rocker rail". This is an innovative solution to accidental damage to one of the most important parts of your rocking chair. If the bottom arc gets damaged, you're stuck with a "bump” while you're rocking. This clever solution makes it possible to easily replace a damaged rocker rail so you can get back to the smooth relaxing rocking that you bought it for in the first place! There's no need to replace the entire rocker or to stop using it due to that irritating bump. Just contact us and we will send you a new rocker rail at no cost! We want you using your rocker, not avoiding it. When you receive your new rail, simply remove one screw at the back of the rocker, slide out the damaged one, and slide the new one in. Then replace the screw. DONE! Now, back to enjoying your rocking chair.
American Made! All of our furniture is made with care in the beautiful mountains of Grayson County, Virginia, the best of the outdoors. Grayson County boasts the New River and Grayson Highlands National Park, just to name two of its best attractions. This is a great place to Love Your Outdoor!

*FREE SHIPPING details: Shipping is free in the continental US only. I will either ship or deliver your products, depending on where you live. If I can deliver your furniture, it will be delivered fully assembled. I will deliver only IF, a; you are close enough or b; if you order enough to make it more cost effective for me to deliver. For example, if you, or you and several friends order a “truckload” of furniture, I will deliver it all to you fully assembled. If I have to ship, it will be shipped partially assembled. Most of my furniture is designed to be shipped that way(commercial furniture is always fully assembled when shipped or delivered). Basically, for the things that have to be assembled, I do all of the hard stuff here so you can do the easy stuff at home. This way, the packaging is smaller and therefore the shipping is less expensive, helping me to keep the overall cost of the products lower. I realize that my furniture is already expensive, like most high end products, but I want to keep them as affordable as possible. Typically, assembly takes less than 30 minutes for most pieces, much less for some. Some of the smaller pieces will come fully assembled. I will have videos showing how to assemble each piece on my website so you can quickly get your furniture assembled and ready to use. All parts you need will be included with your furniture including simple instructions, in case the videos are not available by the time you receive your furniture.
